Who's your favorite Photographer?
thornysarus (926 pencils) | Tue, 2005-05-10 02:32A friend of mine recently got into digital photography and she's looking for some inspirational work.
She asked me who I liked and I'm afraid I wasn't much help. I'm more in-tune with inspirational pop artists and designers, but I thought the rest of you could point her in the right direction.
Much thanks in advance.

These are a couple amatuer websites I get my daily dose of inspirations from:

Sam has an active community forum on his site. Some helpful tutorials to check out.

Charlie's photo always has excellent composition and his attention to lights and shadows always amaze me.

File Magazine features an extended group of photographers. Mostly amateurs taking photos from unusual and unexpected perspectives. A great source if you ever need an idea for a project portfolio.

Tim is a professional photographer. His color leaves me speechless. I wish he would post more often than he does now.

Sebastião Salgado specializes in photo essays. Some of his photos are hard to look and digest in one setting.

Have fun. Feed your inspiration. A feast for your mind and eyes.
He may be somewhat of a one trick pony but what a trick.
