Willy da Jackass Logo Design
holdtheonionplease (70 pencils) | Thu, 2009-05-14 14:13Hello all I have uploaded some logos that I am working on for a client who intends on using this logo for the sauces he makes, most of them are a hotter sauce but not always. I would love to here your feedback or if you think I should explore some new options I would also like to here that as well. Thanks so much!

I'm a big fan of hotsauce, but these would not entice me to purchase anything..
Your chili silhouettes are too vague, they look like leaves. The colors do not contrast each other enough either, so it just ends up kind of looking like a blob of yuck.
number 6 is my favorite, but the shape of the habenero doesn't really come through.. it still looks like a leaf to me.
This is just a quick sketch, but try to accentuate the shape of the pepper, rather then the outline. Might produce a more appetizing effect??
your welcome to use the ai file if you want,

yeah, i have to agree, they're not doing much for me, either. they're very blobby and not very peppery. they also look kind of sloppy. none of them jump out at me as something that would make me want to buy the product.
I don't like any of these at all. The colors are good, but the overall execution looks sloppy. "Willy the Jackass" makes me think it should have a cool, unique illustration like the stuff you see at specialty alcohol shops(which I'm assuming the marketing in mind is for). I would suggest going to a place like that in your area and looking at the hot sauces and micro brews labels. Try more fonts too.

A single hot pepper with donkey buck teeth impressions in it.
One colour treatment?...I'd try a chili red like 174 or 1805.

A pepper with a donkey nose and mouth? That would be kind of freaky in a good way.

You bet. Anything is possible with a hot sauce label.

Another idea: a donkey with flames shooting out its ying yang.
Hee Haw but that sauce is hot!
What a freakin' fun assignment!

A donkey pulling a crate of peppers, perhaps. Good time to be playful, unless your client is restricting you.

My Feedback is go to school and learn how to design before charging your client actual money for this. Put it this way. I have no idea how to make a hot sauce but I'll do it anyway and charge people money for my services. Would that make you angry?
Wow, dude. Chill pill. Take one.
I agree with GregSauce. Make them look more like chili peppers, not just flat outlines. Get funky with the colors -- something that really attracts attention.
ah, the anonymous flame. so useless.
