If it were in the same color scheme and it was fitted somewhere it didn't disturbed me while viewing the site.. I say Yes..

But where are you thinking of placing it? Pretty tight space around here..

Ivan's picture

I'm not sure, but I don't want it to be disturbing as you said for sure!

I voted no. But only if they pay you "some" money... ;)

I'm not sure Google's AdSense allows you to customise the colors for their adverts.

If so, I wouldn't mind too much...but TEXT-ONLY. I understand they're now also doing the targeted advverts using banners/Flash/GIF animation. I vote a solid, resounding NO to banner ads or anything that flashes, zips, zooms or otherwise asks me to punch a target.

it's gotta match the scheme!!!

It seems that most of us are ok with ads but I suppose you could put the ad in a "block" if some don't like the idea... I think that might be interesting to give people the option...

i would not mind a google ad...

as long it isn't a graphic one...

and yes--adsense is colorable

in a block would be good--or in posts floating left or right and unobstrusive place like most commercial sites put their ads in posts...

You have to pay the bills... but it would be nice if it matched the scheme.

We had the Google ads on version 1 of CB. For a while we had them at the top of the page, sometimes on the sidebar and occassionally attached to certain posts.

You can customize the color all you want, but the sizes are pretty much set – you have about 12 to choose from.

Yes, as Phosphor and Jim said, we can customize the colors and they will only be text ads. Thanks for the opinions and votes so far.

For concrete theme users, there is a version of ad block that can be switched on to replace the default tarmac version. Unfortunately it's not allowed to override the colors of a google ad with CSS, so this has to be done manually.

For the minority who didn't want the ads you can switch them off in your account.

Just one? I would've thought you'd get a whole side block with 4 in it! :p

Naa, I don't mind the ads. All I care is this place stays up and running - for free too! (Don't get no ideas now Ivan ;) - hehe.)
