What's all this about then?

the idea is that people wish good things for flora and fauna, wwf makes those wishes come true. I admit that this idea is not really spelling out that story..perhaps it needs a headline or something..

The fact the first image is just a normal Australian flag threw me as I didn't check the attachments.

My thoughts are that it's not bold enough and I personally would be wary of using a national flag in that sort of advertising no matter how good the cause because the message will be overpowered.

I paid more attention to the country than to the message of the ad.

It's really vague and not at all successful in my opinion mainly because no matter what you do, a flag by design is instantly recognisable and will conjure up images of it's country of origin, thus diminishing the effectiveness of the marketing.
People will see these and instantly think of the country of the flag, they'll barely notice the WWF touches and even when they do, I seriously doubt they'll be left with a lasting impression other than a slightly stronger desire to take an Australian holiday.

This is just a flag. I don't understand how this is supposed to relay any message other than 'Australia'.

I'm married to a kiwi girl so you know how I feel about aussies. ;)

I think you just need to balance the flag graphic to the message. The copy is WAY too small to make any real impact on the reader and there isn't much 'flow' to direct us to the conservation message (panda logo, etc.)
