wow, ivan said it right, this is one hell of a sexist ad, i think if anything it doesn't show that it's a woman's day, but that the rest of the year is a man's year. If i was a woman i'd be pissed about that!
why not make it look like someone circled that date and then finished it with the + for the rest of the symbol.. i think that would be far more meaningful

If every day was represented by a circle, you could just add the cross. It might be a bit too subtle to notice at first, though.
