Your (creative) Christmas list
www.jackmancer.com (545 pencils) | Tue, 2009-11-24 09:56Santa Claus is comin' to town, so what's on your Christmas list? I'm someone who instantly buys whatever I need... so I don't have many needs left for Christmas, which gave me a hard time to fill my list.
On mine are:
Hey, Whipple, Squeeze This: A Guide to Creating Great Ads (suggested by Ivan and others)
Freelance Copywriting by Diana Wimbs (pretty basic but I'm new to copywriting anyway. I think you can create great concepts by taking taglines as a starting point)
A new mousemat.
Another Moleskine.
That's about it. Interested about other idea's I might add to mine ;-)
Ho ho ho!

I want to get some books about social media, but not sure which ones... any suggestions?
Maybe this is what you're looking for:

Thank you!
if you do any presentations at all, i recommend Slide:ology by nancy duarte. by far the best book on creating presentations i've read. has nothing to do with the software, but everything to do with how to present content visually. can't think of too many business books i've recommended as much as this one.
they also have a blog at http://blog.duarte.com/.
I was going to go for a few books too, then I saw this baby

omg that is suh-weet!
I wish for Knowledge: I will be trying to wrap my head around DreamWeaver and CSS over the holidays...mixed with skiing, sledding and tobogganing with the lads! And of course indulging in some Christmas cheer. ;)
Cheers.

Definitely keep us up to date on this one. My upgrade will be late January/early Feb and I plan to do the same. Not looking forward to another learning curve - but there is just so much work available I have to do it.
my real creative wish is probably too expensive for me to actually get it.

Put me down for this bad boy Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM.
Once a couple of cheques have cleared I'm ordering (as a christmas present for myself! :)) an Olympus PEN.
It's gorgeous. Small enough to pocket, four thirds sensor and interchangable lenses. It'll save me lugging the fat DSLR everywhere!
