They usually comes out from their cages around summer and suddenly disapear at autumn, record labels seems to have new ones every summer.. (Wonder where they come from?)
They usually is being played over and over at radio stations and create annoyance as you'll get bored with the song after you hear it two times, but then all people starts to hum it and you'll be hearing for the rest of your summer wherever you go..

Skamp - Summer is in the air
Great summer song, it fits to yours searching
Hey -- remember "Itsy Bitsy,
Hey -- remember "Itsy-Bitsy, Teeny-Weeny Yellow Polka-Dot Bikini"? They're using it in some dumb diet commercial now. I remember when it was fresh. Everybody at the pool sang along and danced to it. *sigh*
Then The Mamas and the Papas' "California Dreamin'" comes to mind, from a few years later. And anything by the Beach Boys, of course. Simon & Garfunkel's "Feelin' Groovy" and almost everything else they ever did. And I have a soft spot in my heart for John Denver's "Almost Heaven," about West Virginia, because I live one state over and it's fun to drive there with that song playing much too loud on the radio, the windows open, no air conditioning, barefoot, nursing a lukewarm can of Coke...oh, and Janis Joplin's "Piece of My Heart" was big one summer in the early 70s, wasn't it?
Wow. I sure would rather be at the beach right now than locked up in my studio pulling the second all-nighter this week for a client who doesn't really deserve all this dedication ;-)
Thanks for the memories!
