Your input needed...

I was thinking that it's kinda annoying to go back and forth between the Lounge and the Help forums. Why not just put both into one forum, so that one can follow through the discussions easier? There are not so many messages a day, that one would be lost if it was all together. What are your thoughts on this?

I woted "yes" since it's sometimes hard to divide the topics.

P.S. Really lloking forwad for another version nad faster hosting, because from Dk forum seems a bit slow.

I'm the one who voted "Don't care"

I vote YES... but if you merged the two forums... is there anyway you could put a search mechanism:?: ..... just to find in more easy way what happened with your old posts... is that possible???

well, there is search up in the menubar next to FAQ. have you tried it? it works quite well.

I would say merge, and once there's lots of members with too many posts, divide again. Right now, the number of posts/members is really limited...

I said no for the reason stated above, once the forum starts to grow the amount of topics might be too overwhelming.

Merging the topics now only to split them later seems awfully silly to me. The amount of work to move the topics back into their proper forum would be overwhelming. And if they are all left in the lounge after the split, the new "tech forum" would have no posts, and people would continue to post everything in the lounge simply because they think nobody visits the other forums.

This happened at MacCentral, MacMinute and several other Mac-related sites who tried the same thing.

The only gain to merging them would be to artificially increase the apparent traffic to the forums (since all posts would be in one place, it would *seem* busier than it really is). This isn't necessarily a bad thing, I just don't know if it's worth the effort to put them back later.

Just my 2 cents.

I don't really care, all that matters is that the forum is up and running. It's a great place.

I would've thought having a few forums, would make it easier. Like a Members Lounge, a Critique forum, a Help forum, and umm a News forum - where all graphic design/advertising (Mac too of course), news is posted.

Just my 2 cents.
