What inspires you?

I get inspiration from number of things, but I can easily identify one area that clearly gives me a lot of inspiration. Nature. But not the romantic kind with sunsets and beaches. I'm very much inspired by the scientific approach to nature. How it works, the variety of forms and textures it presents. For example images of metallic bugs, or bugs that are scanned with an electron microscope gives me an enormous creative boost.
So, the question of the week, where do YOU get your inspiration from?

Im mostly inspired by music. Listening to new, pioneer artists or classics, it just gave me a lot of urge to create. Another big source of inspiration to look others works. That is what works for me.
I get inspiration from sex. No, really!
First I'd like to say thanks for your website.....cool place!
Those bugs are amazing!!! I can get inspiration out of everything around me....I think that creative people look differently at things around them and have the ability, to combine things into something new.
Thanks again....

Thank you for your encouragement. :)
Travelling, meeting ppl.
Inspiration comes from grass ;)
Fine art does it for me. Great artists, like Dali.
Trees inspire me, as well as intricate detail or beauty in ordinary things (often easily overlooked but found in many places- like a picture of a mud puddle). Emotional or trying times or events from present or past can also be inspirining (or draining, depending on the condition). Some people are very very inspiring as well. Music, also, can be especially potent if used carefully :-) I feel like I'm repeating some of what You and others have said but thats my take on i :-). BTW, your site is great! Nice work!
Nightfall. Everything settles down. Crickets wake up. The temperature tapers off a bit, and hell...a midnight canoe cruise might be just what the doctor ordered.
Nature in the raw, in all her basal elements, is what inspires me.
That and fellow crazy people. ;
