Photoshop brush preview

I've collected enough Photoshop brushes that it is becoming a problem figuring out what I have. I was wondering what others are doing to keep track of what they have.

I was thinking about using each brush, saving a jpeg of it, and putting it in iPhoto, and add some metadata, as a way to create a brush database of sorts. I quickly realized that was going to take forever, and I don't have forever to do it.

Does anyone know if there is an app (kind of like font book) that would preview your brushes for you, without having to open each one in Photoshop? I found an opensource app for Windows only, but that does me no good as I have a G5.

Thanks!

Rob

Hi, there's a solution for mac, where you can run abrviewer (the mac version is call abrview) without the need of other helping application like mono.

The solution is described here:

Well, speak of the devil. I was just over on Bittbox and he's come out with an app for this:

But before you spend money on it, check out the two FREE methods to see if they suit your needs. If they don't, buy Brush Pilot - it's excellent!

I think that QuickLook plug-in is the solution for me. A shame that Adobe doesn't address the problem with how brushes are stored and loaded.
