For me personally, none of them are my style. But I would put good money down that most (if not all) of these were created using a Mac.

is there any difference? creating a wall using a mac or pc?

Anonymous's picture

no, only idiots make statements like the one above.

I am always struck by people who respond in this way. I mean really ... what's it like being you?

You do realize that those are wallpapers that come with Windows 7? Those are by Microsoft, dummy. Check out the Mac ones, these are much better.

Not to mention something I'd actually want to show off, in comparison to these wallpapers designed by monkeys on meth using Photoshop (on a Mac - they can't get it to run properly in Windows). It's so funny that you have the gall to trash Windows, "Steverballmer".

Sorry, but this is not my work.

I personally prefer a less disturbing background. Since years now I have one called "e-mergency_01_purple.jp" but I don't know where I found it anymore.

Sometimes I change it, just to see, that I come back to that one again. BTW: to change the bg quick I use my freeware Desky. : )

black. plain black.

ya you guys may think these wallpapers are busy. and that they might suck ass cuz it might not b made on a mac (lame). but creatively they are pretty good. actually i thin theyre awesome. especially the funky ones with teh characters. art is art. respect.

Some lovely illustration work in the first ones. Seeing the icons is more important for me personally but these would work better in ads. The last few wallpapers are from the mid nineties, surely. As was said earlier. Once inside Creative Suite there's little difference between Mac & PC. It almost has its own independent UI these days.

They should definately stick with the landscape photos. Space photos are nice too, but those first few were creepy.

I'd choose the gold leaves on the crimson background.

These are too busy for me - in isolation, some of the illustrations are nice but as a wallpaper, I think they would annoy quite quickly. Especially bearing in mind the number of shortcuts and files kept on an average PC users desktop. You would think the wallpaper would need to be as minimal as possible to maintain clarity and let's be honest, avoid a migraine.

More thought should be put in to a desktop wallpaper - you should be allowed to express personality in every environment - even corporate, but not at the expense of functionality.

Most of them are waaaaaaaay too busy for my taste in wallpapers.

If I were to choose any of them, it would be either

or

http://adsoftheworld.net/download/windows7/winwall7057_05large.jpg

even then, though, they're still a bit busy. Nice photography and such, but not my usual preference for use as a wallpaper.

Your wallpapers are very nice!

This new Windows 7 wallpapers are great. I didn't expected this from Microsoft. I usually take my wallpapers from http://www.ewallpapers.eu

in my opinion: wallpaper shouldn't be crowded like the once shown above, they simply distract the eye, where as you'll be more often seeing your desktop while working, and in this regard I think the apple walls are far better then those provided my windows (please no PC vs MAC war) cause mac walls are mostly gradients or harmony colors... which as wallpaper work quite well...

even thou my desktop is either black or grey 70%...

Some of these Windows 7 images look downright childish. What are they thinking?

I didn't see any wallpaper here sized for dual-screen monitors. Here's my collection of Hawaii wallpaper for dual screen monitors free for all. There's also wide screen and TV aspect ratio sizes.

Windows 7 wallpaper: Bad trip man. The first set in the series remind me of a nightmare I had while suffering from the flu. As if Windows weren't scary enough. What is in the water over there in Redmond?

Bed time for Ballmer. Come off your tire swing and get back in the cage. That's a good monkey boy.

I don't think they are good or bad, I believe is more according to personality, some people likes more color in their screens than others, for me I always look for images that reflects serenity and tranquility, my work is overloaded with stress to bring more to my screen :P

Can someone please explain to me what the white bunny/human/baby looking thing is???it looks like a creepy toy with its mouth smiling wide open and it has coloured longish eyes. Is that a real toy and what is it called? Everytime I log in, I spend at least 5 minutes just staring at it trying to decide what it could possibly be. PLEASE ANYONE REPLY ASAP. IM GOING INSANE!
