Google Browser Size

Sorry to pitch another Google service, but this is a really useful tool. :) Google Browser Size shows you how much of your website people see without scrolling. This can be important to make sure important elements of your site, like navigation are visible to as many people as possible. Also it gives you a good idea about the number of people who will see your extra wide website layout in its entirety.

yes it's useful :) thanks for finding out all these cool google stuff :)
Ehm, did they use MS Paint to make that?
Useful tool though! Thanks.
Interesting... only 50% can even see my entire navigation. Now I wonder how many are in my target market and how many are on a netbook.
For centered or right aligned pages you should put your window on the minimum size required to see your website.
Nice - thanks for that. We're going to be working on a redesign, and it's good to see that we should probably be sticking with our current site's width to make sure at least 90% of our audience can see the top content of the site.
Thanks, Ivan. I am working on my first Dreamweaver site and this will help with initial elements placement.
Cheers.

I prefer Firesizer, an add-on for Firefox that resizes your entire browser window to the desired resolution. It also allows you to add custom preset sizes, and displays the current size at all times in the lower right of the status bar.

Thanks! That's very useful, but Google's visualization also tells you how many people will see a particular resolution.
Window resize feature is included in this extension as well:

That's a nice tool, thanks Ivan!

YAWN! steveballmer Still SPAMming I see.
I'm just thinking, it's a shame it doesn't work with local files, like C:/Documents/website/index.html.
Most websites are build offline I think. At least in the construction phase to determine the dimensions, I wouldn't be bothered uploading it.
True.
Ivan, thank you!
Interesting info!
My company is working about the new website, and this "news" will be very important for us!
Expecially if we have important info at the right and at the end of the page.
