Layer mask quick edit

Alt-click (option-click) on the layer mask thumbnail right next to the layer thumbnail in the layer palette to show and edit the layer mask. You can use all the tools and filters to edit your mask and once you're done, the same simple option-click will revert to normal view.

Very useful, indeed!
To get out of mask viewing mode, indeed, either OPTION+click the layer mask, or simply click on the layer's thumbnail.

An alternative is hitting backslash ( \ )...it allows to view the layer mask as rubylith...

hi ivan, hey how can I do this in freehand?? is that possible?... on ilustrator I can "clipping a mask", but on freehand...?

please let me know =)
