Axiom-IT logo rethought
Sasi (63 pencils) | Mon, 2005-04-18 17:24I was wondering that i might take a closer look at the logo and conception. After having done that i tried to create a better conception that makes relationship between typography and symbol somewhat stronger.
How do you think i solved the problem?
The ones who missed the former conception here you can take a look at it.

I like the bottom one best with the bigger things.. but branch it out like the top two (have the pattern thing keep going with a frame around it like the others, if that makes sense).
I like the third one in this set better. drop the box around it and invert the colors? I'm not too fond of that tiled pattern part. What does it symbolize? Is a customer going to "get" it? Maybe try one with an entirely different concept.
If you drop the bottom left circle from the tile pattern down to match up with the "O" in AXIOM it may fit together better but as I said, I'm not a fan of that tile pattern anyways. Also, I'm not sure exactly what it is, but there's something odd about the spacing in the text (between the hyphen, "I", and "T"?) as well. Maybe play around with the kerning a bit.

I don't like anyone of those.. It makes me feel like looking trough some fence in a prison or something.. Sorry but back to the drawingboard..
Tigerstorm has it right... It is just too complex. You need to simplfiy, make the message more direct. There is too much imformation to decode.
