Seems like yet another one of these "Oh man I just realized these two objects combine very easily to make a clever icon. Now, all I need to do is adjust the brand name according to the icon."

Yes, that's exactly how it happened.
I was about to agree with Anders but this is slightly more creative than your usual " Fuzzy Mango" or "Ice Claw" type of logo. It is a little tongue in cheek, which helps set it apart, but I don't know if you want that for a snooty, snobby French cuisine type of place. I also don't know if a French restaurant, assuming it's your typical type of affair, would be advertising on hats, t-shirts and smart cars.
I'd refine that logo to give it more of a " 400.00$ bottle of champagne" type of feel.

True, a real french restaurant would not go with a fast food type of logo.

Without my sense of direction, I don't know where I'd be.
The term 'frog' is quite a derogatory term used by the english to describe the french, I am not sure how your average frenchman would feel about this.
Maybe it would suit a pet shop specialising in reptiles / amphibians better.

1st of all its a verrry creative & cleaver idea, Frog paw + Crown blend to visualize FROG KING. But some how its not going for me, it reminds me a chopped paw of FROG KING . Rather I would have proffered a full body stylish French Frog.

I visited Miami Beach (I prefer Copacabana eh eh) and ate shrimps and crabs.

I've seen this symbol before. Princess and the frog logo, Lol. Still...looks great overall. :)
at first glance of the smaller photos it looks like a pot leaf. just my take.
i see french food as more elegant thin, swirly, intricate.
BUT- as a logo representing something else it is nice!
