From Away - My latest creation
Jeff (56 pencils) | Wed, 2004-10-20 19:11So I decided that business wise it might be a good idea to separate my journal from my portfolio. And thus, From Away was born. So make sure to check it out and let me know what you think!

Very nice... both of them.
I do question why a "designer" chooses to use blog software for his "design" web site (in your case, WordPress), but you did a fantastic job with it none the less. Very clean, very readable, and just the right balance of visual vs. content.
Overall, I give it a thumbs p! :happydance:

I don't particularly see a problem with a designer using a freeware CMS for a backend to a website. I'm not a programmer by any stretch of the imagination, nor do I claim to be. Wordpress is just the best solution for me, such as the case for CreativeBits using blogger, it's just the best solution.
Thank you for the kind comments. :)

nice...
i agree with using free backend sollutions on your design if you need them. i do love to design, but when it comes to programing, I count on stealing codes from friends and abusing those same friends with asking for help.
i just stick to the designing of stuff! :D
You said it my friend!
I've got lots of experience coding in Java, good ol' Fortran, C, and the like, but PHP is a little foreign to me. Something I definitely want to learn, but it's going to take some time.

bah... who's got time :?
strange. i'm getting:
Server Error
The following error occurred:

As am I. The server has been acting quite strange tonite. I've been trying to play around with Wordpress 1.3, but I'm unable to access my database in order to get it set up. Time to give the server admin a call I guess.
Update: It appears that the server is completely down now. I think it may be time to start looking for a new host...
Update #2: It appears to be back up now. This is really strange. I don't like server behaviour like this...
