I think they made the right choice at this point in time, but Flash is coming back to mobile once the devices will be powerful enough and the battery will not be more powerful.
I doubt that very much, it's an outdated and unnecessary plugin. The web needs to move from plugins. It's a relic of the damage created by Microsoft's dominance in the 90's. Well be much better off if the web continues moving towards open standards without proprietary plugins and if Flash becomes a development platform for applications and games.
I just thought it was interesting that everyone's making a big deal about Apple not supporting Flash, then Adobe realizes themselves that Jobs was right and pulls it on their own. The man was always a couple steps ahead of everyone else.
