well crafted, certainly.

but the very first, IMMEDIATE thing i saw, even at thumbnail size - was a vagina. (see attached png file. not sure why its not showing up in line...?)

not sure if thats a good or a bad thing in your context ; )

Haha It wouldn't be your first vaginal comparison.

I see what you're saying when you juxtapose the two, but think you've got vagina on the brain. ;)

its a universal archetype - how can you not? especially in this case when youre using the most identifiable parts?

im not saying dont go with it. it may be a great idea. hell, youre going to appeal to straight men and lesbians right out of the gate - maybe without them even knowing why...

DOUBLE WIN!

It's a nice piece of art. Is it a logo? Not really sure - it doesn't say anything to me (other than "well crafted symbol"). Pretty sure if the Phoenix and the angel wings were removed - I would not have made that connection. Looks more like a collar to me. The "RFA" seems totally detached - almost like two separate pieces. Hey - both well done and very professional looking. Just doesn't seem very descriptive or memorable as a logo.

But as always... that's jmho.

Not at all loving the crafted letters, the logotype is good and well thought out but the letters are the opposite. One instance I think following through with your research would have suited you to the end. You have a sci-fi tech based font for a gothic/ old type symbol concept. Event management or not, it doesn't have to feel too dorky young or too old. A nice respectable serif would suit perfectly along with the rest.

1. Woman with hair pasted into a flame shape
2. Toilet seat
3. "The Scream"
4. Ox collar
5. Rising from the Ashes logo

In that order. But I have to say, the execution is beautiful. I think the font for RFA is weak. The curvy look is good, but I would suggest you go with something more solid.

the type looks neato. but each character contains key features of another letter that are equally identifiable to its own.

for instance, the R has all of the important features of a B. F could as well be a P. and the a looks as much like an upside down e

I see that, I do, and it's cool. But it doesn't work with the mark IMHO.

Excellent work! The mark is very good. The type needs a re-think. Due to some unknown childhood trauma (likely his birth), WGZN always sees vaginas.

Without my sense of direction, I don't know where I'd be.
