About

When I was 6 years old I started drawing. By the time I was 8 I oil painting and drawing at a local art school, won a few awards and even sold a few paintings.
I graduated high school in 1999, and went on to study graphic design at Gateway Technical College in Northern Kentucky. However by this point in my life, I was sick of art and not taking it seriously. I pretty much squandered my time at the school, and decided I wanted to try traditional college. I enrolled at NKU and once again, was direction-less and did not take advantage of that experience except for taking a few things away from the English and Art classes, and getting some general studies out of the way.
I took a couple of years off and worked full-time. I quickly became generally bored with myself as a human being. I knew I had skills not everyone has, and that I could stand out from the typical career paths of society. At this point again I started to pay attention to design and art trends. I decided to finish my original degree, and graduated in May 2007.
In September of that year, I started work as a designer and pre-press operator for a local printing company, and ad publisher. I was designing ads for local business, and learning to fundamentals of pre-press, as well as helping getting to company off it's feet with the new ownership. Unfortunately that didn't quite happen, and I was laid off in May of this year.
I am currently seeking employment. I also recently purchased the Adobe Creative Suite 3, and am planning on using my time to practice the software, and get more creative stuff in my sad little portfolio!
